Walking Group
Sleaford is in a beautiful area of Lincolnshire, with gently rolling countryside and very big skies. We want to celebrate the goodness of God's creation and the beauty of these surroundings.
To this end, we have a Walking Group who leave the church, and who can quickly be in the countryside, or to go just a little further afield, can take a short drive to a nearby village.
Our Local Authority, North Kesteven District Council, have published a number of good walks (this link opens in a new browser window/tab) that the walking group often follow.
Of course, apart from the aesthetic enjoyment, this gentle exercise is good for your body, and the company will be good for your soul as well. There is no fixed membership for the group - just turn up!
The group normally meets every other Sunday afternoon during the warmer months - they don't mind a shower, but don't normally walk if it is pouring with rain. Please watch the weekly notice sheet in church or contact us to find out when the next walk is.
