Social activities
At Riverside, we know it is important to have fun! To this end, we have a number of social activities each week.
On Monday evenings, we have our sports evening. This was originally for over 25s, and was primarily a time for adults to play badminton in our hall. However, some teenagers wanted to play too - and who are we to argue? If you are waiting for your turn on the badminton court, there is the option to play table tennis and board games, or sit and chat, or perhaps engage in friendly banter with those who are playing.
On Tuesdays evenings, our Short Mat Bowls club meets in the hall. Again, you do not have to be old to play bowls amongst this friendly group.
On Wednesday mornings, a gentle exercise class takes place at the church. This is particularly aimed at older people and those with limited mobility or a restricted ability to engage in more vigorous workouts.
On alternate Sunday afternoons (during the warmer months) our walking group meets at the church and heads out for a stroll through the wonderful Lincolnshire countryside. Walks are typically under five miles long.
All of these groups are always open to new people, both within the church fellowship and those who are not regular worshippers at Riverside - the more the merrier.
